Agency backs off on IPPC site reports as inspections slide again
The number of inspections of industrial and waste sites carried out by the Environment Agency slumped once more in the second quarter of 2002/03. The Agency is planning significant changes - including a weakening of requirements for site surveys under IPPC - in a bid to reduce the backlog of applications and free up resources.
