Industry reputation damaged in chemicals forum's first battle

Industry and environment groups on the Chemicals Stakeholder Forum clashed for the first time at a meeting in December. One member emerged damaged from the battle after alleging incompetence on the part of the Forum's secretariat. And the chemical industry appeared in a poor light after the cause of the row was found to be selective reporting of environmental data by chemical manufacturer Associated Octel.
