Biffa proposes anaerobic digester for Leicester

Biffa plans to build what could be the UK's first anaerobic digestion facility for household waste at parent company Severn Trent's Wanlip sewage treatment works in Leicestershire. Sales of renewables obligation certificates for the electricity produced from the biogas would provide an additional revenue stream.
