MPs hit out at voluntary initiative on pesticides
The House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee has delivered a scathing attack on the slow progress made by the industry-led Voluntary Initiative to reduce the impacts of pesticide use. It calls on the Government to reconsider a pesticides tax and lambasts the Environment Department for its "miserly" support for the scheme.
