EU sets out strategy to curb air pollution from ships
The European Commission has proposed a range of measures to tackle the growing problem of air pollution from shipping.1 Planned measures include limits on sulphur in heavy fuel oil used in the North Sea, English Channel and Baltic, together with pressure for tighter engine emission standards and moves towards charging for more polluting vessels.
