Scotland to tighten controls on land spreading

The Scottish Executive has announced plans to tighten controls on the spreading of industrial organic wastes on land by introducing a requirement for operators to demonstrate that it will bring agricultural benefit. But Ministers have rejected proposals to require the preparation of land management plans.
