Bromate pollution of Three Valleys water supply goes undetected
A public water supply in Hertfordshire has been heavily contaminated with bromate, a carcinogenic chemical, which is thought to have begun leaking from a chemical works up to 50 years ago - but Three Valleys Water only discovered the problem last year.
