Regional sustainability frameworks take shape but are thin on targets
Only half of the eight English regions had prepared their regional sustainable development frameworks by the end-of-2000 deadline - and the process to date has shown the regions struggling to translate principles and objectives into concrete targets. Meanwhile, the Government has issued new reports on national1 and regional2 indicators of sustainable development.
