Waste contractor Transorganics fined £5,000

Waste spreading contractor Transorganics pleaded guilty to causing polluting matter to enter the Gogar burn in Edinburgh on 24 January. Edinburgh sheriff court heard that a member of the public reported seeing pollution in the burn following the injection of abattoir waste into agricultural land. The company was fined £5,000.
