AEA report paints optimistic picture on low-carbon technologies
Global reductions in carbon dioxide emissions of up to 90% below business as usual levels are technically attainable, according to a major new study for the Government.1 Halving emissions by 2050 could also be achieved without higher energy costs - but the report warns that the UK will miss out on the business opportunities if it fails to increase financial support for low-carbon technologies to the levels offered by its three major competitors.
