Commission sets out priorities for sustainability strategy
The European Commission presented proposals for a sustainable development strategy in May.1 Its aim is to ensure that sustainable development is at the heart of all EC policies, and climate change, public health, natural resources and transport are highlighted as priorities for action. Targets to tackle these problems include a new target for cutting greenhouse gas emissions in 2020.
