Timber firm pollutes wildlife site

Swansea-based Gower Timber has been fined £2,000 after pleading guilty to polluting the Loughor estuary with timber preservative. Appearing before Swansea magistrates on 24 April, the company was fined £2,000 and ordered to pay costs of £200 for the offence under section 85 of the Water Resources Act 1991.
