UV treatment could conquer crypto menace

New evidence suggests that treating drinking water with ultra-violet light could destroy cryptosporidium - the stomach bug which has been a major upset for the water industry over the last 12 years. However, the Drinking Water Inspectorate does not believe that the science is sufficiently proven and is collaborating in an international research programme to gather evidence.
