LibDems promise to champion environment in new Parliament

No plans for environmental legislation were unveiled in the Queen's speech on 20 June, with a water Bill again seemingly put on ice. The Liberal Democrats signalled that they will make the environment one of their priorities for the new Parliament - but there was zero interest in the subject from the other parties in the opening debate on the speech.
