EC limits on dioxins in food and feed imminent

The European Commission is planning to introduce limits on dioxin levels in foods and in feeds used in animal and fish farming this autumn. The measures are intended to bring human dioxin exposures within safety guidelines but will be challenging for the fish farming industry and feed suppliers. The Commission also expects to extend the measures to dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
