Property firm fined for spillage
Skipton Properties was fined £20,000 on 18 April after admitting causing a discharge of a toxic detergent to the river Worth in Haworth, West Yorkshire. Bradford crown court heard that the river was covered in thick foam in August 1999 and that many invertebrates and small fish were killed.
