Enforcement action

The Environment Agency has issued an enforcement notice to the operator of a coal-fired power station at the mouth of the river Usk, near Newport, after it breached a condition in its integrated pollution control (IPC) authorisation. The notice requires the company to commission an independent review of plant design and operation.
