Luton airport offers voluntary CO<SUB>2 </SUB>levy

Luton airport is asking passengers to pay for some of the environmental costs of their journeys. For the next three months, passengers departing from Luton will be asked to pay 0.2p per mile to offset the carbon dioxide generated by their flights. The levy for a flight from Luton to Edinburgh would cost about 69p.
