EMAS threatens eco-labels

Finnish paper and forestry giant Stora Enso has ditched the Nordic Swan eco-label in favour of the EC eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS), raising questions about recent amendments to the scheme which allow registered firms to use an official logo and moves to expand its use on products and services.
