Radioactive waste offences cost Dunlop £24,000

Allowing radioactive sources to be removed by an unauthorised contractor with no previous experience cost Dunlop over £24,000 when it appeared before Coventry magistrates in June. In a separate case, a company was ordered to pay almost £43,000 after it lost a radioactive source - and almost certainly sent it to a scrap dealer.
