Company law review gets mixed response

The final report of the Department of Trade and Industry's company law review has recommended an extension of directors' duties to cover environmental and reputational issues, and a requirement for larger firms to report on environmental impacts.1 But the duties would apply only where directors deem these issues "material" to their business.
