Sappi fined for foam, latex pollution

International paper company Sappi was fined £7,000 on 13 August for causing pollution of the river Roddlesworth near its Blackburn site. The company pleaded guilty to two charges, each under sections 85(1) and 85(6) of the Water Resources Act 1991.
