Go ahead for biomass pyrolysis plant

Border Biofuels has received outline planning approval for a pyrolysis plant on the Isle of Arran. The plant will be located in a quarry within the Dyemill forest at Whiting Bay. It will be restricted to 2.6MW, using only forestry residues from the island - previously sold on the mainland.
