Ineos seeks £300 million subsidy to upgrade Runcorn chlorine plant

Ineos Chlor is calling for a £300 million grant to convert its ageing Runcorn chlor-alkali plant to cleaner technology - an upgrade required by an international agreement. The company is also suing former owners ICI for allegedly misleading it over the condition of the works.
