Failure to seek LAPC permit costs steelwork firm £10,000
Portsmouth steelwork company Allslade has been fined £7,000 with £2,700 costs for operating a process without a local air pollution control (LAPC) authorisation. The case has highlighted a gap in regulators' powers to prohibit the operation of an unauthorised process.
