Question-mark over "green" millennium products

Products with suspect "green" credentials were among those to receive awards in the environmental category of the millennium products initiative sponsored by the Design Council and unveiled by Prime Minister Tony Blair in December. Winners include a refrigerant which contributes to global warming, controversial projects to promote renewable energy and offset carbon dioxide emissions, and biodegradable plastic products with questionable green credentials.
