Argument begins in earnest over alternatives to a pesticides tax

Battle was joined in April over alternatives to a pesticide tax when the British Agrochemicals Association (BAA) published a 20-point plan for a possible voluntary agreement with the Government. Eight environmental organisations also came forward with a 10-point pesticide impact reduction package - and have panned the industry offer.
