Aviation industry floats options for voluntary agreement on CO<SUB>2</SUB>

The UK's aviation industry has put forward options for a possible voluntary agreement with the Government to control its carbon dioxide emissions. The industry's tentative preference is for customised fuel efficiency targets for individual airlines, backed by rebates on air passenger duty or other incentives to promote investments in more fuel-efficient aircraft.
