Agency under fire again over Ribblesdale cement works

Renewed criticism of the Environment Agency's performance in regulating the controversial Castle Cement works in Ribblesdale has been made by Friends of the Earth. A report for the group by a former regulator concludes that the Agency's oversight of the plant has been "ineffective and too industry-focused", and has failed to get to grips with a continuing plume grounding problem.
