CEN packaging standards approved

Five standards for packaging placed on the EC market were approved by European standards bodies in April. Once formally adopted by the European Commission, they will offer packer/fillers a means of demonstrating compliance with the "essential requirements" laid down in the 1994 Directive on packaging.
