Advances in genetics over the next ten years will improve the understanding of diseases induced by environmental toxicants, according to a report from Friends of the Earth (FoE). 1 Increased knowledge of the risks of disease and the susceptibility of particular groups of people will put irresistible pressure on companies, FoE warns, forcing a more precautionary approach to exposures to chemicals in products and the workplace.
