BP Amoco speeds ahead with ultra low sulphur petrol roll-out

BP Amoco has stolen a march on competitors by offering ultra-low sulphur petrol (ULSP) at 160 service stations in London and announcing plans to roll the fuel out nationwide from October. Meanwhile, motor manufacturers have issued a charter calling for further reductions in sulphur content.
