Few stirrings on IPPC in food and drink sector

Continuing uncertainty about the impacts of integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC) in the food and drink sector was displayed at a recent industry seminar. The Environment Agency was keen to emphasise a pragmatic approach to implementing the new regime - but, in the absence of sector-specific guidance, there is danger of complacency developing.
