South West Water's equitable compensation policy

Six thousand households in north east Cornwall supplied by South West Water were warned to boil their drinking water in April after the company detected high ammonia levels at its Bastreet water treatment works. The company told the Western Morning News it was "purely a taste issue rather than one of public health".
