RCEP's energy futures under a carbon dioxide ceiling

The Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution (RCEP) has set out a radical agenda for transforming the UK's energy supply system and reducing energy demand. Massive development of renewable energy and other alternative sources will be needed, it says, to achieve the 60% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions which may be necessary within 50 years to contribute to a globally equitable solution to the problem of climate change. 1
