PPC regulations cleared by Parliament

Regulations introducing the new pollution prevention and control regime in England and Wales cleared their final hurdle in July after being approved by both Houses of Parliament. 1 Tory MPs attacked the new rules on issues which were actually decided by past Conservative administrations - and also demanded that the location of intensive pig and poultry units be kept off the public registers to protect them from attacks by animal rights activists.
