Global business coalition presents recipe on "eco-efficiency" reporting

A two-year project into how businesses can measure the "eco-efficiency" of their operations has concluded that only a handful of indicators - such as greenhouse gas emissions and consumption of energy, materials and water - can be used by firms regardless of size and sector. The inherent diversity of business means that companies must be allowed to tailor analysis and reporting to their specific activities, it concludes. 1
