TBT in nappies traced back to polymerisation catalysts

A catalyst used in polymer manufacture is the source of tributyl tin (TBT) contamination in nappies, according to nappy producer Procter & Gamble. In June, the company claimed it would be able to eliminate TBT from its nappies worldwide within weeks - but TBT has since been found in a range of nappies in the UK, including P&G's Pampers brand.
