Plastics firm faces £9,500 penalty for oil pollution

L and H Polymers of Northampton was fined £8,000 with £1,585 costs after pleading guilty at Northampton magistrates court on 20 July to causing oil and carbon black to enter a tributary of the river Nene at Crow Lane, Billing in July 1999, contrary to Section 85(1) of the 1991 Act.
