"Very serious" breach costs BNFL £5,000

British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) was fined £5,000 in September after admitting breaches of its authorisation under the Radioactive Substances Act 1993. The incident, at Chapelcross nuclear power station, was the company's third recent problem with liquid radioactive waste handling.
