RAC seeks fuel duty "green fund" while AA study links high prices to fuel efficiency

Greenpeace and the RAC have jointly proposed a new "green fuels" fund as an alternative to cuts in fuel duty, 1 while a new report from the AA has confirmed that sustained high fuel prices will bring cuts in consumption. But Tony Blair avoided bringing an environmental dimension to the row over fuel tax in October, despite pressure from some Ministers for environmental arguments to be heard.
