Toxicity fears limit triclosan use
Concerns over the toxicity of the organochlorine biocide triclosan to aquatic life have led soap and detergent manufacturers to agree a ban on any increase in use over 1998 levels, ENDS has learned. The news comes after Swedish scientists found the compound in human breast milk and fish.
