New energy from waste projects

An energy from waste incinerator on the Isle of Man is on the cards, following the approval of £43.5 million in funding granted by Tynwald, the island's legislature, in October. The 25-year contract is to be awarded to United Waste, in association with Kvaerner. The plant will have an annual capacity of up to 65,000 tonnes and will have a separate line for clinical waste.
