Waste management research

The Royal Society for Arts has announced plans to develop a network for the coordination of waste management research in Britain, called WasteNet. The initiative addresses concerns that the lack of joined-up thinking between funding bodies - including those benefiting from landfill tax credits - means that resources are not being employed optimally. The RSA is to develop the idea through a series of meetings with stakeholders this winter.
