Ecotricity is to supply EMI with half of its electricity from renewable sources. The CD manufacturing plant in Swindon and the distribution centre in Leamington Spa will use the new supply. EMI's Now 47 compilation album will carry the statement: "Produced using Ecotricity." The Ecotricity brand is to be promoted to domestic customers in 2001.
