Motorola uses LCA to develop greener mobile phone

A prototype mobile phone made with 100% recycled plastic, containing no brominated flame retardants and very little lead, and with dramatically improved energy efficiency, has been developed by Motorola and telecommunications company Swisscom. It may remain a one-off, though, until the proposed EC Directives on waste electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) start to bite.
