Agency faces critical scrutiny from five-year review
A first five-yearly official review of the Environment Agency kicked off in December with a consultation paper setting out the main issues for the first stage of the process. 1 The independence which the Agency has enjoyed looks like being exposed to critical questioning - as will its target-setting practices, performance and charging schemes.
