Sarp plans salt mine disposal facility for hazardous waste

Plans for the UK's first underground waste storage and disposal facility will be submitted to Cheshire County Council in the next few weeks. The project, unveiled in January by salt mining firm Salt Union and industrial waste management business Sarp, is a response to the impending EC ban on co-disposal landfill.
