Signs of life for farm biogas projects

Plans for the UK's first centralised biogas plant for treating farm slurry moved closer in January when a planning application was submitted for a 2MW unit in Devon. The plant may earn extra revenue from industrial organic wastes which face restrictions under the emerging policy on spreading waste on land.
