"Top-tier" chemical works fined for acid blast

Speciality chemicals manufacturer Seal Sands Chemicals has been fined £24,000 for an incident at its Teesside works last September which sent a large cloud of nitric acid fumes drifting over a nearby oil refinery. The accident was the second of its kind within a week.
